The national Talent Boost Summit will take place this year on November 23rd in Vantaa!

 

Hiring international talents is a topical issue for more and more companies. Come and hear tips and interesting experiences from other companies, network, meet service providers who offer support in this field and bring visibility to your own company in the TalentMatch part of the event.

 

The event will take place in Scandic Helsinki Aviacongress in Vantaa.

 

Registration is now open for all companies and employers! The registration deadline for onsite participation is 19th of November, after this date you can still register for the online event. Participation is free of charge.

Talent Boost Summit is the most exciting business event of the fall! The event will offer concrete knowledge and practical tools regarding the recruitment of international talents and diversity topics.

 

In addition, there will be inspirational speakers, networking, pitching, and talent-matching with the companies.

 

Talent Boost Summit is for companies of all sizes

 

The Summit is for everyone who is interested in recruiting international talents, managing international and diverse work communities, or internationalization of their companies - whether you are just considering hiring your first international employee or you’re already an expert in the matter!

 

The event will be a full-day event, but it is possible to participate either in the morning or afternoon program, according to your own interests and needs. Online participation will also be possible! The main language for the morning program will be Finnish, whereas the afternoon program will be mainly held in English. We reserve the right to any program changes of the event.

 

In addition to the on-site event, the event will also be organized as a hybrid online event.

9.30-9.50 Keynote speaker: Vaisala - international recruitment as part of the company's operations

 

In the first keynote speech of the day, we will hear the perspectives of an internationally successful Vantaa-based company on the field of international talent.

 

Joel Kinnunen, Global Talent Acquisition Manager of Vaisala, will tell you about the importance of international talent for Vaisala and their work within the field of finding the right international talent. Why is international know-how needed in their company and how do they try to find the right talent with needed skills?

 

9.50-10.10 Keynote speaker: Stera Technologies - Diversity as an asset in the work community

 

In the second keynote speech, Jussi Ohlsson, CEO of the Stera Group, talks about building a culturally diverse organizational culture.

 

According to estimates, to grow and replace the retiring age groups, Finnish companies in the technology industry need 130.000 new experts in the next ten years. Stera has employees from almost 20 different countries and there are approximately 900 employees in Finland and Estonia working for Stera. In addition to building an organizational culture supporting diversity, Stera focuses on attracting talent in today’s multicultural labor market.

 

10.10-10.30 Keynote speaker: Roya Ranjbar – The Finnish working life through the eyes of an international employee

 

In the final keynote speech, we will change the perspective, and you will hear the experiences of Roya Ranjbar, an international background employee working as the Head of Operations in AIDA Impact.

10.40-12.15 Workshops

 

In the workshops, the company representatives will get the opportunity to discuss recruitment, language-aware workplace communities, the opportunities for collaborating with education institutions, and managing a diverse work community, under the guidance of facilitators.

 

As a facilitators and experts in the workshops will be e.g. Work in Finland, Kielibuusti project, University of Helsinki, and Startup Refugees. There will be also company participants telling about their experiences regarding the themes of workshops!

 

If you are participating online, you will get a chance to take part in a virtual workshop on the theme of multicultural working life, where PING Helsinki is among others telling about the possibilities of social media when communicating about cultural diversity.

 

11.55-12.05 JCI Finland: International Employer of the Year prize

 

The International Employer of the Year competition is searching for organizations in Finland that have successfully recruited, onboarded, and retained immigrants and international talents. With the competition, JCI Finland wants to showcase employer success stories and encourage more organizations to recruit foreigners who play a key role in Finland’s future economic growth. The winners of the International Employer of the Year 2023 will be announced in the Talent Boost Summit!

In the broadcast of TE-live by TE Office you will get to know their TE-live service in which employers will get a chance to promote their open job positions. The topic of this broadcast is diverse and interactive recruitment. You will also hear more about a specific company that is willing to hire international talents!

 

13.30-17.00 TalentMatch recruitment and networking event

 

Do you want to network with jobseekers and other professionals? By signing up on the afternoon program of Talent Boost Summit, you will get the opportunity to showcase your business and career opportunities at your own stand at the event. In addition, both employers and talents will get a chance to make two-minute pitches and hold pre-arranged one-on-one meetings. Online participants will also get the opportunity to showcase their company and career opportunities on the virtual event platform.
