The event takes place on October 29, 2025, in Helsinki city center, at the scenic Pikku Finlandia.  It is designed for 1) companies, 2) stakeholders, and 3) decision-makers. Attendance is free of charge. 

 

The annual Talent Boost Summit is Finland’s largest business and expert event on international talent.

 

The event brings together leading companies, key stakeholders and the public sector to discuss how to attract, recruit and retain international talent, and how to harness international expertise to support business growth, internationalization and innovation.

 

The main language of the event is English. Simultaneous interpretation is available for those who need it.

Room 1: Can Finland have growth without international talents?
Hosted jointly by the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Tampere, Turku and Oulu and moderated by André Noël Chaker, this session explores the economic necessity of international talent. It includes expert presentation by Antti Kauhanen from ETLA and a panel discussion showcasing experiences from Germany.

 

Room 2: Keeping Talents – A Critical Success Factor for the Future 
This room, hosted by OP Uusimaa and Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce, focuses on best practices and strategies for retaining international talent. Presentations and discussion highlight company case examples and recent research findings.

Room 3: What Kind of Talent Does Finland Need – and Who Will Come?
Hosted by Work in Finland, this session presents the latest demand-supply insights and explores in a panel discussion how employer and country branding should work together to attract international professionals.

 

Room 4: Retention Trend Setters – From Strategy to Action
Jointly hosted by Suomen Ekonomit, Confederation of Finnish Industries (Elinkeinoelämän Keskusliitto) and the Association of Finnish Cities and Municipalities (Kuntaliitto), this room features two panel discussions. Jointly hosted by the Finnish Business School Graduates (Suomen Ekonomit), Confederation of Finnish Industries (Elinkeinoelämän Keskusliitto) and the Association of Finnish Cities and Municipalities (Kuntaliitto).

 

This room features two panel discussions. The first focuses on strategic cooperation between cities and businesses. The second discusses shared responsibility in talent retention from individual, societal and organisational perspectives.
